For a photographer, Rome seems nearly infinite. Indeed, even the ancient Romans referred to it as “The Eternal City” as they thought that no matter what happened to the world, no matter how many other empires might rise and fall, Rome would go on forever.
Rome is famous for its great churches, inspiring monuments and its unabashed connection to the ancient, but it also is a city of narrow cobblestone streets, colorful markets and lively piazzas. In many ways, all of Rome is a stage and its citizens – and tourists – its players. The theater of Rome is the perfect place to take your photography to the next level, seeing it through your lens and telling your own story of this magnificent city.

Join my Rome Photography Workshop June 11 to June 19, 2016 “Your Story of Rome” and I’ll work closely with you to help you tell your own personal story of The Eternal City. Advance your skills in photography by learning how to make stronger images, how to see photographically and how to tell a story in photographs. Learn about the thought process that will produce images that go beyond the cliche, all while immersing yourself in Roman culture, food and places. We explore both the well-known and the out-of-the-way parts of one of the world’s greatest cities and look at methods of finding your own way of seeing.
To make sure you get to concentrate on photography instead of travel details, we arrange and include everything – ground transportation, lodging, meals, extensive instructional materials, guides, tips, etc – you just arrive and immerse yourself in photography and Italian culture.
